My name is Quinn, and I'm from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I started playing guitar seriously when I was 16, and I've been of making weird notes and elephant noises on it ever since. I've also picked up a few other instruments over the years like piano, bass guitar, upright bass, banjo, ukulele, clarinet, synths, drums, marimba, and whatever the heck a baglama is.

When I was 16 or 17, I began taking lessons with a local guitar instructor named Mike Elzey who has been one of my biggest influences. In addition to being a good friend of mine, Mike also hired me on as a guitar instructor for Mike Elzey's Guitar Studio where I currently teach. I sort of travel around a bit and teach in Easton, Cambridge, Preston, and Seaford on the Eastern Shore. I have also studied directly under such amazing guitarists as Curt Heavy, Matthew Mills, Derryl Gabel, Marshall Harrison, Rusty Cooley, Scott Mishoe, Chris Gordon, Danielle Cumming, and Matt Palmer.

I played just about every genre between gigging and teaching, but I really began to focus on classical guitar during my years at Salisbury University where I acquired my Bachelor's Degree in Music and attended masterclasses with people like Zane Forshee. I also performed in piano masterclasses and contributed to the Salisbury Chorale, Percussion Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, and World Drum Ensemble. While also at SU, I won first place in the Salisbury University Rock, Blues, and Jazz competition.

Starting in 2018, I started getting into the musical theater scene and have begun performing on guitar and bass more regularly for productions in the area. These productions include Jesus Christ Superstar, Pippin, Little Red Riding Hood, It Shoulda Been You, and several others. I find these productions to be really fun as the music is often challenging and I get to put my music reading skills to practice. For 2020, I should be performing in productions of Hair, Newsies, Honk!, and hopefully several others.

In 2018, I began working on my first classical guitar album that was recorded, mixed, and mastered by myself. This has spurred me to continue developing my recording skills, and in 2020 I finally have begun offering these skills to others. I offer a wide range of recording services that you can check out in the tab above.
